Synchronicity

I float
I float on the river of life
I bump into the bank
Only to bounce back

I float
I get washed under
Only to rise again

I steer myself but I cannot steer others
I can only talk to them
And show them how I steer myself

I move between floating and steering
It’s wonderful
I am part of the river

The Gift of Power Pie

Would you like some power pie?

Yes please it’s something I should try

But I can’t see or smell this piece

Just hold it - taste it, - it’s a feast!

I’ll take a piece of power pie

I don’t care, I’m not shy

I think I’ve got it (or have I not?)

Or have they taken back the lot?

Yum I think this tastes real good

Give me the last slice if you would

Oh now they want some just like me

Take them away – they’re annoying me!

The people need some they have found

But there isn’t enough to go round

Oh rubbish man – give it here

You keep that – the rest we’ll share!

When next you cook a power pie

Size it up with your minds eye

Then think with whom to share and why

And lo - the limit becomes the sky!

The Matter of Minds

Who do minds think they are?

Some even think they drive the car!

They think they know they think they’re smart

But were they like this at the start?

Well I think minds just grow and grow

The senses feed them don’t you know

Its feeding time at the zoo

Monkey see – monkey do!

But minds are thinking things you see

They plan and plot relentlessly

They make themselves up just like that

Then don’t you know it – they change right back!

If you don’t mind I do matter

Lets exercise these minds with chatter

Maybe you’re right, or is it me?

Until next we meet lets disagree!

I’ll keep my mind and you keep yours

(They’re actually good for opening doors)

And on occasions they will meet

To sort the world out – what a feat!

Dependence

Shall we grow old together

Or shall we grow old apart?

Well I guess the answer to this was

Sorted at the start

Its not that I ever

really wanted to be free

It’s just the fear of you my dear

Heck – I’m only ....83!

What did you say? Oh I forgot

Or was it you who lost the plot?

Gosh I don’t know but should we not

Forgive and forget  ‘bout who forgot?

Oh why would I offend you

Maybe once you thought I did

Was it what you heard not what I said

That muddled things a bit?

Needs and wants are things we have

But a thing is what you’re not

You are here and you are near

That’s what I like a lot!

Who’s the Boss?

Where’s your boss? – he’s over there

And he’s the one who gives me fear

And so he should - look what you did

Doesn’t any one around here care?

Where’s their boss? – she’s never here

Funny that – she used to care

Her manager over-managed her

Now she’s like us, we don’t care

Where’s your boss? Oh I don’t care

Tomorrow I am leaving here

But you liked the work – you didn’t shirk

Yes I know but here things just aren’t fair

Who’s our boss? – no one mate

We really all do get on great

Just help us out – but stay well out

Then more and more goes on the plate!

Hear Our Voices

My mum and dad they weren’t born bad

I wasn’t born bad or mad

So what is it that makes me sad

I need to know I’m just a lad

My mum and dad weren’t born stupid

So that makes me the same

Anything is possible

Just find the rules of the game

It’s not their fault can’t you see

They’re not like that deliberately

They only know what they have seen

They only know where they have been

I don’t hate you ‘cos I don’t hate me

I don’t hate them but I want to be free

I want to grow an’ I want to show

Let me be I will grow with the flow

I’m talking to you can’t you hear

I beat it up so you can’t bear

I’m tagging to you so can’t you read

Racing my car for you to take heed

I’m not bad, just a little sad

I am a seed my mum and dad

Feed me, water me, watch me grow

Talk me up and let me go

Help me grow hear what I know

Talk to me my mum and dad

Listen to me my mum and dad

Give me a break we all make mistakes

How can I know  How can I show

That’s not easy don’t you know

I’ll start to talk I’ll start to walk

Out of my comfort zone

It’s seek and learn an’ I’ll take a peek

I know it will take more than a week

Don’t dictate, I’ll just imitate

Let’s meet again and don’t be late

Money makes the world go around

Leave it to them and we’ll all run aground

We will grow and know and show

Then I know the money will flow

Love me not  P

P stands for past I’m not going there

I’m no loser I’m a chooser

I might shed a tear but I don’t have to fear

The race to space by the human race

Do we need another place?

Move over mate give me some space

I don’t mind what colour is your face

World of nations at my feet

In the arms of love we meet

Hear our voices we entreat

World protect our children

The Freedom of Money

Money doesn’t grow on trees

And evil is its root

So best you leave it all with me

(I’ve got to have that loot)

Money makes the world go round

But squeaky is the wheel

I’ll oil it a bit – but only a bit

I’ll cut them out of the deal

Money’s a finite resource you know

But it’s a secret you must keep

If not we’re shot – we’ll lose the lot

To those have-nots on the heap

They make money but I can not

Give me some and I’ll give it a shot

I’ll work very hard at market share

At interest rates they can’t bear!

The Guv’mint makes it I know that

It’s sometimes round but mostly flat

They think we’re free but they can’t see

Freedom is actually monetary!

Some die for money and some die with none

Some never have any – that’s no fun

Some die from need, some die from greed

Let’s share this dollar and share a feed!

The Ego Plant

I have a little Ego plant

Growing in my loft

I keep in the dark you see

This makes it fairly soft

I have a bigger Ego plant

I show it to my friends

It’s a social climber isn’t it?

Yes I grew it from Jacks bean!

My Ego plant has got quite tall

I mix with giants now you know

I’m on a trip can’t you see

Powered by egocentricity!

My Ego plant is now dead vine

A has-been Jack - now for the chop?

Sorry yes it’s got to go

Send them home - it’s got to stop!

I have a lovely Ego plant

I grow it in my yard

It gets to see the humble bee

To stop it going hard!

Everybody Is Somebody

I think I am somebody

I’m pretty sure its true

Just look at me - can’t you see?

Well I can see you!

I wish I was a somebody

They’re people in the know

There goes one - having fun

Pied piper on the go!

I’ve learnt to be a somebody

I’ve studied really hard

At who is who and who is not

And how to keep facade!

But its they who made me somebody

Don’t you understand?

It’s not my fault – get them to halt

I’m only a one-man band!

Everybody is somebody

Of that please don’t forget

Hear their story, exalt their glory

Then the world will be correct!

Freedom from Control

Attention there! – stand up straight!

Do as I say or death’s your fate!

OK then so that’s the drill

It’s me that you want to kill?

Yes it’s them that you’ve got to hate

You must obey my orders mate

But now we’re shot, they’re taking pots

If we don’t act it’ll be too late!

I’m in control, I know the ropes

They need decisions – they do have hopes

‘Keep your wits about you’ - OK Sarge

Hang on Sir we’re on the charge!

Woe is me I need some help

My shoulders feel like trodden kelp

More orders come – fix it with pace!

But I’m too busy saving face!

Help you say? – It’s on its way

And you don’t even have to pay!

Lets agree on what makes us free

It’s collective responsibility!
